The Idea
Bide & Fecht started back in 2012 as a personal passion project that slowly grew into a decade long side venture. It was born from a simple belief. Make clothes with intention. Keep them comfortable, durable and rooted in a cleaner, more responsible way of working. The label sits in the space of conscious daywear. It is built on a mix of Scottish heritage, ethical values and a commitment to craft that never rushes the process.

The Meaning
The name Bide & Fecht comes from my own family history. It links back to the Gordon clan motto Bydand which means To Remain. The older form Bide and Fecht carries a deeper meaning. Stand firm. Face what comes with a steady resolve. Protect what matters. Act with intention. That spirit shapes the brand’s values and its motto. Remain steady. Move forward.

How It's Made
Everything is produced with sustainability at the core. Fabrics are organic cotton only. It grows at a slower, more natural pace which gives it a softer feel and a longer life. All garments are made in a renewable energy powered factory. The print process uses direct to garment technology which embeds ink into the fibres without washing off. This removes unnecessary waste and keeps the process clean. The inks meet GOTS certification standards and contain no animal derived ingredients. Every part of production follows the same rule. Be thoughtful, be responsible and be kind to the environment.
